Aubrey Cliffs Multiple Sites Data
The Aubrey Cliffs project began in 2005 when Aubrey 1, (site 0511), was the first 30m tower to be erected on the cliffs. In 2008, three 30m towers and one 50m tower on the cliffs were erected in addition to one 30m tower in the valley (Aubrey Valley1). The purpose of this project is to test and analyze the wind in this region to determine if the site is a good candidate for a wind farm. These wind towers are located about 13 miles NE of Seligman, AZ. Every two months, research students from the Sustainable Energy Solutions group at NAU collect wind data chips from the towers listed below, scale the raw data to text file format and produce a WindPro report.
